慶應SDM2025年 秋学期講義「日本文化固有性」では、私達日本人が教育されてきたことと、実際に私達日本人が生きている「実態」の間にある乖離に関して中村元東方研究所専任研究員の吉村均先生にお話頂いています。

第一回目の講義では、「文化と宗教」に関する議論がありました。

日本人は宗教は悪いものであるという思い込みにより、宗教とは何なのかということや、自分たち日本人が実際には無意識的に「信仰」している事実やその中身を知りません。

このことが様々な問題を産んていると思います。

In the Keio SDM Fall 2025 course “The Uniqueness of Japanese Culture,” we are receiving lectures from Professor Hitoshi Yoshimura, Senior Research Fellow at the Nakamura Hajime Eastern Institute, on the discrepancy between what we Japanese people have been taught through education and the actual reality in which we live.

In the first lecture, we discussed “Culture and Religion.”

Because many Japanese people hold the preconceived notion that religion is something bad, they are unaware of what religion truly is, as well as of the fact that they themselves unconsciously “believe” in certain things and live according to those beliefs.

We believe that this unawareness has given rise to various problems in our society.

How do you understand the claim that “culture and religion are synonymous”?
